James J.
Venaleck,
President
and CEO
James J.
Venaleck was named President and Chief
Executive Officer of Bio Safe North
America in 2003. The company is
Ohio's first certified trauma
restoration service company.
Though based in North east Ohio, Bio
Safe North America is active not only in
the Ohio Area, but surrounding states as
well.
Mr.
Venaleck is quite familiar with the
impact crime has upon society as he has
served as a law enforcement officer in
Lake County, Ohio for over nineteen
years. As a certified Ohio Peace Officer
Training Council instructor, he has
taught multiple courses at the local and
national level in the law enforcement
profession.
Additionally, Mr. Venaleck is a member
of the Lake County Weapons of Mass
Destruction Technical Support Team and
holds certifications or training in
crime scene decontamination & bio
hazardous waste removal; blood borne
pathogens & trauma scene management;
forensic epidemiology, and advanced
topics on medical defense against
biological and chemical agents.
In 2004
the Lake County Police Chiefs awarded
Mr. Venaleck the Medal of Valor for
heroism in the line
of duty and, in 2005, he was presented
the Jorge Medina Distinguished Service
Award for rising above
the call of duty.
Mr.
Venaleck holds a degree from the Hocking
College. He and his wife, Judy, reside
in Painesville, Ohio with their three
children.
Jonna Bobo,
Director of
Public Relations
Originally from southern Ohio, Jonna
(Depugh) Bobo was a substance abuse
counselor for over two years. Her
interest in helping others with their
addictions stemmed from losing a fiancé
in an accident involving a drunk
driver. Her motivation was to not only
understand the concept of addiction, but
to also be able to help those affected
by addiction. She also has held
positions as an instructor, a director
of a proprietary college, and as an
accountant.
In 2004, she was named Director of
Public Relations of Bio Safe North
America. Her primary responsibilities
pertain to educating the public &
private sectors about the benefits of
Bio Safe North America, issuing press
releases and overseeing the public
relations department.
Prior to joining Bio Safe North America,
she has accumulated over 17 years of
marketing, sales, and training
experience. She has seven years
experience developing curriculum at the
proprietary level and has had several
papers published in the educational
environment. She is a member of the
Ohio Homicide Victims Organization board
and a 2006 Who's Who Entrepreneur of the
Year award recipient
She has obtained a Masters Degree in
Business Administration from Baker
College in addition to her undergraduate
degree in Criminal Justice from Ohio
University. She and her husband, Tom,
have 2 children.
Steve
Payne,
Director of
Operations
Steve Payne
was named Director of Operations of Bio
Safe North America in 2003. He is
responsible
for executing all areas of staff
development and training and ensuring
that all employees not only thoroughly
understand the stringent procedures, but
also remain in compliance with all state
and federal regulations.
Before
joining Bio Safe North America, Mr.
Payne has served over as a law
enforcement officer for over nineteen
years. Having served in the capacity of
a supervisor for a municipal police
department in northeastern Ohio, Mr.
Payne has a thorough knowledge of policy
and procedure compliance.
Mr.
Payne is a certified Ohio Peace Officer
Training Council instructor. Mr. Payne
is certified in Hazmat procedures, blood
borne pathogens, crime scene and
evidence technician, and Ohio EMA
radiological protection. Moreover, Mr.
Payne holds training in methamphetamine
lab precaution and has attended the
FBI sponsored training in Weapons of
Mass Destruction Nuclear Biological and
Chemical weapons.
Professional affiliations for Mr. Payne
include membership as a charter member
of the International Law Enforcement
Educators and Trainers Association and
he is also a member of the Lake County
Weapons
of Mass Destruction Technical Support
Team.
Mr.
Payne holds a degree from the
Northwestern University. He and his
wife, Julie, reside in Lake County,
Ohio.
